Executive Coaching in Miami

Miami is one of the most competitive business environments in the Americas. Whether you are leading a financial services firm in Brickell, scaling a tech startup in Wynwood, or managing regional operations for a multinational, the pressure to perform – and to grow – never lets up. Executive coaching in Miami is no longer a luxury reserved for Fortune 500 CEOs. It has become a deliberate investment that serious leaders make when they are ready to perform at the next level.

My name is Jorge E. Benito, MBA, PCC. I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach based at 1000 Brickell Ave, Suite 715, Miami, FL – and I have spent 19 years helping executives and senior leaders clarify their goals, sharpen their leadership, and create measurable results. I trained at the University of Miami (an ICF-accredited program), completed the Leadership Principles program at Harvard Business School, and hold an MBA in Coaching, Mentoring, and Leadership from York St. John University. I work in both English and Spanish.

What Executive Coaching Can Do For You in Miami

Executive coaching is a structured, confidential process in which a certified coach helps you identify the specific leadership behaviors, blind spots, and habits that are either accelerating – or limiting – your effectiveness.

The research is clear. According to a Harvard Business Review (2022) study, leaders who engage in executive coaching report greater self-awareness, improved emotional intelligence, and a better ability to lead others effectively. A separate finding from Harvard Business School (2022)confirmed that leaders who engage in self-reflection and continuous learning through coaching are more likely to achieve long-term success and drive organizational growth.

In practice, my clients work on things like:

  • Making faster, more confident decisions under pressure

  • Communicating with clarity and influence across teams, boards, and stakeholders

  • Managing difficult conversations without damaging relationships

  • Navigating career transitions – a new role, a promotion, a pivot into entrepreneurship

  • Building executive presence that matches their actual competence

  • Leading through uncertainty in Miami’s fast-moving, multicultural market

The work is highly personalized. Every engagement begins with an honest assessment of where you are, where you want to go, and what is in the way.

Who Hires an Executive Coach in Miami?

My clients come from across Miami’s core industries: finance, banking, real estate, technology, healthcare, marketing, and international trade. They typically hold titles like CEO, President, COO, CFO, VP, Director, or Senior Manager. Some are entrepreneurs and founders. Others are professionals who have been promoted into leadership and want to make sure the transition sticks.

What they have in common is this: they are high achievers who are self-aware enough to know that external perspective accelerates growth faster than going it alone.

A Miami executive coach is the right fit for you if:

  • You have recently stepped into a larger role and want to lead with confidence from the start

  • You are managing a team and struggling to drive accountability or alignment

  • You have received feedback – from a 360 review, a board, or your own intuition – that something needs to change

  • You are performing well but feel stuck at a plateau you cannot see your way around

  • You want to prepare for a C-suite role within the next 12 to 24 months

  • You lead a bilingual or multicultural team and need a coach who understands that context firsthand

I also work with high-potential leaders who have been identified for advancement. If your organization is investing in your development, I offer structured programs designed to align with those goals.

My Approach to Executive Coaching

My coaching philosophy is grounded in the ICF core competencies – the global standard for professional coaching. That means our sessions are driven by your agenda, not mine. I ask questions that help you think more clearly. I do not give advice disguised as coaching.

At the same time, I bring real-world leadership frameworks informed by my training at Harvard Business School and my MBA specialization in coaching, mentoring, and leadership. When a situation calls for a specific model or tool, I bring it in. The combination of ICF methodology and evidence-based leadership principles is what distinguishes my practice from both pure business consulting and lighter coaching formats.

In a typical engagement:

  1. Discovery – We identify your goals, current challenges, and the leadership behaviors you want to develop or change.

  2. Assessment – Depending on the engagement, I use tools such as the Global Leadership Assessment (GLA360), which I am certified to administer, to create a clear, data-informed baseline.

  3. Coaching sessions – We meet regularly – typically bi-weekly – for focused, confidential 60-minute conversations. Sessions are available in person in Brickell or via video for maximum flexibility.

  4. Accountability and tracking – Between sessions, I hold you to the commitments you make to yourself. Progress toward your original goals is reviewed throughout the engagement.

  5. Closing review – At the end of the program, we measure your progress against the goals you set at the start. Most clients find this review is as valuable as the coaching itself.

I work in both English and Spanish, which is a meaningful advantage in Miami’s bilingual professional environment.

Why Miami Executives Choose JB Coaches

There are coaching directories full of coaches. Here is why clients in Miami consistently choose to work with me specifically:

Credentials that matter. I hold the ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation – the second-highest credential in the profession, requiring 500+ documented coaching hours and rigorous competency assessment. I also hold a Certified Professional Coach designation from the University of Miami, an MBA from York St. John University, a Certificate in Leadership Principles from Harvard Business School, and certification as a Global Leadership Assessment Coach.

Bilingual coaching. Very few credentialed executive coaches in Miami work fluently in both English and Spanish. If you lead in both languages – or if your authentic professional voice is in Spanish – that matters.

A local, Brickell-based practice. I am not a national platform with a Miami page. I live and work in this city. My office is at 1000 Brickell Ave, Suite 715. I understand the Miami business ecosystem because I operate inside it every day.

19 years of experience. There is no shortcut to experience. I have coached executives across industries, geographies, and career stages for nearly two decades. That depth shows up in the quality of the questions I ask and the patterns I recognize.

A defined process with measurable outcomes. I do not offer open-ended, indefinite coaching relationships. My engagements have a structure, a timeline, and built-in reviews so you can see the return on your investment.

The ROI of Executive Coaching

Executive coaching is an investment – and the data on its return is strong.

The ICF Global Coaching Study (2020) found that organizations reported a median ROI of 700% for coaching, with some companies experiencing ROI of up to 5,000%. That figure accounts for outcomes such as improved team performance, reduced turnover, higher engagement, and faster leadership development.

Research published in the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science (2021) found that coaching significantly improves leadership behaviors that drive organizational performance, such as adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire and influence others. These are not soft outcomes. They are directly linked to revenue, retention, and the organizational health of your team.

For individual executives, the return shows up in more concrete ways: a promotion earned, a high-stakes negotiation handled well, a team retained, a career pivot executed with clarity instead of chaos.

The question is not whether executive coaching works. The question is whether you are ready to do the work.

Frequently Asked Questions About Executive Coaching in Miami

How much does executive coaching cost in Miami?

Executive coaching fees vary significantly based on the coach’s credentials, experience, and the scope of the engagement. At JB Coaches, I offer structured programs rather than ad-hoc sessions, and fees are discussed during an initial consultation so we can align the engagement with your goals and budget. As a PCC-credentialed coach with 19 years of experience, my fees reflect the depth of the credential and the measurable outcomes my clients achieve. For specific pricing, reach out through the contact page.

How long does an executive coaching engagement last?

Most of my engagements run between three and six months. This is the range in which meaningful behavioral change becomes sustainable rather than temporary. Shorter arrangements can work for very focused, single-issue goals. Longer engagements are appropriate for significant leadership transitions, such as a move into a C-suite role or a major organizational change. We agree on the scope at the start and build in progress reviews throughout.

Is executive coaching available in Spanish?

Yes. I am fully bilingual and conduct coaching sessions in both English and Spanish. For many Miami professionals, the ability to work in their primary language is not just a preference – it makes the coaching more authentic and more effective. If you would prefer to work entirely in Spanish, or to move between both languages depending on the topic, that flexibility is available.

What is the difference between executive coaching and leadership coaching?

The terms are often used interchangeably, but there is a useful distinction. Executive coaching tends to focus on professionals in senior organizational roles – the specific pressures, decisions, and visibility that come with executive-level responsibility. Leadership coaching is broader and can apply to leaders at any level who want to develop their ability to influence, motivate, and guide others. In practice, my leadership coaching services and executive coaching work share a common foundation – the ICF competency model and evidence-based leadership frameworks – and the right fit depends on your current role and goals.

How do I know if I need an executive coach?

A few honest signals: you are performing well by external measures but feel internally stuck or unclear about your direction. You have received feedback – through a 360, from a mentor, or from your own observation – that a specific leadership behavior is holding you back. You are about to take on a larger role and want to prepare deliberately rather than figure it out through trial and error. Or you simply recognize that the thinking that got you here will not be enough to get you where you want to go next. If any of these resonate, an initial conversation costs nothing and will give you a clear sense of whether coaching is the right next step. You can read more background at the What is Executive Coaching? page.
